Sarah had plans of moving to Japan to teach English after completing her degree, but three weeks before graduation she was introduced to CrossFit and was hooked. Before CrossFit, Sarah competed as a Track and Field athlete and in Volleyball.
Outside of her regular fitness routine, Sarah is trained in Classic Piano, is bilingual, and has done a lot of humanitarian aid in other countries. She also loves the outdoors and spends her summers backpacking and testing adventure gear.
HOW DO YOU USE YOUR COMPEX DEVICE?
Mostly to warm-up or train with. I use it regularly to warm-up my quads before my main lifts and I'll use it in other areas that I have a hard time firing, especially my lats.
WHY DO YOU LOVE IT?
If for some reason I can't get to the gym to train, I can also use my Compex to get a "workout" and at least feel like I've accomplished something.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PROGRAM?
Potentiation. It's quick and easy to use and a great way to prep for my workout.
HOW HAS COMPEX HELPED YOUR TRAINING?
When I first got my device, I thought it was mainly a recovery thing. I still think its's useful for that, but what I found is that it's most beneficial to me as a warm-up and actual training tool. It's difficult, if not impossible to contract your muscles fully on your own. Using Compex allows you to experience this and experience the full potential of each muscle you target.
